I Really Love My....Monthly Access Pass to Gaiam TV

Raise your hand if you've ever been utterly frustrated by the gobs of boring, nonsensical programming that clutters our airwaves. And how many channels do we really need in order to find one good thing on TV? Don't get me wrong, I will admit that there are plenty of times when I enjoy nothing more than vegging out and watching some crazy show on TLC or HGTV, but since I only watch a handful of these channels, I find myself asking, is it really worth the cost? It's no wonder that more and more of my friends are signing up for HuluPlus and AppleTV. With these services, you more directly get what you're looking for.

So I was intrigued when I was contacted by Gaiam to check out their new product, Gaiam TV. For only $9.95 a month, you can stream hundreds of fitness, wellness, philosophy, and spirituality based programs. Given my recent departure from NetFlix, it seems like a no-brainer. The site is easy to navigate and they are always adding something new. Check out videos from Deepak Chopra, Seane Corn, Kathryn Buding, Rodney Yee and many more. Whether you have just 10 minutes or a full hour in your day to spare, there's an option for you. I like checking out yoga documentaries that I can't find elsewhere, or if I'm traveling, having access to fitness programs that I can try in the comfort of my hotel room. You can even download programs to your favorite mobile device!

A perfect holiday gift for health and wellness fan in your life, or even for yourself. You certainly don't have to take my word for it. Try the 10-day free trial and see for yourself!

  1. Really cool. I didn't know about it! Why did you depart from Netflix?

  2. Good question. I found that I wasn't using Netflix very often and when I went to try take advantage of my membership, they never had anything I was interested in, especially for streaming. Onwards and upwards! :)

  3. I’d certainly give MyYogaOnline.com a try. They have thousands of classes for 9.95. I am loving their studio classes. It feels as though I am practicing in NY and Vancouver, and LA like I am right there in the class with the teacher.
