About Me

Why the Capricious Yogi?
Like most beings, I'm innately curious about myself and my surroundings. I am most alive when I'm learning and creating. Life is always changing, whimsical, and unpredictable, but with a definite course. Capricious is a word that evokes fun, inquiry, energy, and openness to the world and is truly symbolic of this journey.

A little ditty about me...
I truly believe in the uplifting and healing power of Yoga.

I was first turned on to yoga while pursuing her BA in Theatre and Dance at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. I was instantly hooked and could not think of a better way to be “in the moment” than by practicing yoga. Not only was my practice been great for honing my acting skills, but it has also provided me the tools to tackle various health issues. I began practicing and studying in 2000 and haven’t stopped since.

I received my 200-hr RYT from Pure Prana Yoga Studio located in Alexandria, VA in December 2008 and most recently completed the Off the Mat and Into the World Leadership Training in 2011. I fill my classes with energy, fun, light, love and movement. As I work through my practice daily, I am uniquely reminded of how connected we all are. It is my aim to share all of the inspiration found in these small moments. I bow down to my teachers, my teacher's teachers and the Divine teacher that resides in all of us.

Hari Om!
